  • Annualized Returns

I have noticed that annualized returns (XIRR) are shown only in the case of investments that are more than one year old. But annualized returns are necessary to be known even in case of a 7 or 8 month investment, Even if its not compounded, it should be extrapolated, say if its a 10% return in 8 months, that means a 12 month return will be 15%.

    Dear hv modi,

XIRR for any period, even within 1 year is supported. We use the same XIRR formula used in Excel.
XIRR will not show results in those cases when returns are too high for very short period of time. XIRR formula cannot extrapolate or compound it annually if short term returns are too high.

      Thank you!
Is there any way I can cross check manually too?
Moreover, what is this formula based on?
